SJRU are pleased to advise that The Rugby Club Foundation has opened applications for the 2023 Herron Scholarship Program.

“To further your involvement in the game through self-improvement” this may be via education, career development, apprenticeship programs or rugby objectives and would be contingent on your continued involvement in the game.”

As in previous years:
• Two scholarships each year will be awarded, one to a Sydney Junior and one to a Country Junior
• Scholarship value is $3,000 to each recipient (payable over two years at a rate of $1,500.00 per annum)
• The candidates are to be age level Rugby players who have represented the Sydney Junior Rugby Union and the New South Wales Country Rugby Union respectively in either the Under 16 or Under 18 Rugby competitions conducted by those Unions.
• Candidates can include match officials and coaches aged 16 – 18
• Nominations should comprise of a resume and covering letter outlining how the scholarship will further the candidate’s involvement in the game through self-development

• Nominations will close on the 8th December 2023.
